Chicago|French Restaurant Dear Margaret 💕

Inspired by a blogger’s personal recommendation, we took a 30-minute ride from River North 🚗. The neighborhood felt strangely reminiscent of New Orleans — low-rise buildings, wide streets — a totally different vibe from downtown! Stepping inside, the décor was cozy and charming 🏡, and our server was incredibly sweet — a lovely touch to the experience. Food-wise, the starters and vegetable dishes were quite nice. However, the two main courses felt a bit unbalanced in flavor. For example, the lamb was overly rich and smoky, lacking complementary ingredients to balance it out. A highlight of this French spot is that the menu changes seasonally 🍂🍃, and it holds a Michelin recommendation. But honestly? I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for it. If you’re nearby or exploring the area, it’s worth a try — otherwise, maybe not a special trip. #ChicagoEats #ChicagoRestaurants #ExploreChicago #ChicagoFoodFinds #StudyInChicago
