Chicago|Hidden Korean Pork Hock Spot on Milwaukee Ave

📍 Restaurant: Jokbal Night Market Glenview Wanted something hearty with friends over the weekend, so we hit up this popular Korean pork hock spot. Lots of Korean customers — got there around 5 PM on Sunday, not too busy yet. Interior is minimalist, vibe is great, and it’s super photogenic 📸. We ordered the Special Combo — a whole pork hock served with either buckwheat noodle salad or cold noodles. The pork hock came as a half-and-half combo: ✅ Original flavor — Tasted like smoked-braised pork trotter. Tender, flavorful meat with chewy but not tough skin — well-seasoned but not salty. ✅ Spicy version — Includes rice cakes, sweet-spicy flavor that gets better with each bite. This was the first to disappear from our table! Portions are huge — two of us left stuffed and couldn’t finish. This combo could easily feed 3–4 people, seriously great value. Other dishes worth trying: ▫️ Pork bone soup — Mushroom-forward, very savory. ▫️ Kimchi pancake — Crispy outside, great for cutting through the richness of the pork. ▫️ Sizzling braised meat — Comes with fried rice, looks amazing. Menu isn’t huge, no fancy frills — just authentic, hearty food. Perfect for a cold Chicago winter — warms you right up ❄️🔥. If you like Korean-style braised pork hocks and want a spot good for sharing with a group — add this to your list! #Chicago #ChicagoEats #USTravel #ChicagoFood #KoreanFood #PorkHock #ComfortFood
