Chicago|I Found Another West Loop Gem! 🤩

📍 La Josie – Mexican Cuisine, West Loop If you know, you know — I absolutely adore Mexican food! 🌮❤️ This place strikes the perfect balance between casual Mexican street food and upscale fine dining. Super dim lighting — great for informal dates or fun hangouts with friends. Not about fancy vibes, just seriously good food! You can reserve (recommended), but walk-ins are welcome too. We went on a Saturday night without a reservation and got seats at the bar right away. Tables might be a 30-minute wait. 1️⃣ Ceviche Three flavors: mango, passion fruit, and shrimp. Can order a trio if you want to try all. We got the mango — refreshing, tangy, and the ahi tuna was so fresh. Highly recommend! 2️⃣ Tacos 13 different fillings — all kinds of meat, fish, and shrimp. My boyfriend insisted on the Baja fish taco (said it was good… but I don’t trust him since I’m not a fish taco person 😂). 3️⃣ Taco Salad First time trying it — wanted tacos but also trying to eat lighter. Got the Asada (medium well). HUGE portion, tons of tender flavorful steak — honestly felt like better value than the asada taco! 4️⃣ Mariscada (Octopus + Squid) Savory, a little spicy, generous with the seafood — not stingy at all! 🍹 But really… their drink menu is the star here. Three full pages of cocktails, plus a whole wall of spirits — gorgeous and impressive! (Check the last two pics 📸) Will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in West Loop. P.S. Right nearby is the new Levain Bakery (840 W Randolph St) — treat yourself to a cookie afterward and say goodbye to that day’s diet plan 😂🍪 #ChicagoEats #MexicanFood #WestLoopChicago #HiddenGem #FoodieFind #TacoLove
