Chicago|Michelin Chef’s Latest Cafe — Bar Tutto 🧑🍳

From the team of Joe Flamm (of Michelin-starred Spiaggia), this new all-day cafe serves everything from brunch to lunch and light dinners. It’s Joe Flamm’s second new spot this year — opening in this economy takes guts… or maybe just extreme confidence in his craft. 🍔 Mortadella Sandwich – Savory, filling, and lighter than typical ham. The slightly dressed arugula and mortadella are a perfect match. Only wish the mortadella had pistachios or nuts for extra texture and flavor. 🍝 Fusilli Pasta – Looked creamy and rich, but the pesto tasted a bit off — not my favorite. 🍳 Eggs Benedict – Perfectly runny eggs with excellent hollandaise, served with a generous portion of tasty ham. Oddly, no English muffin — different, but still worked. Went during their opening weekend — felt a little chaotic. The dining area is split: Front section for bakery walk-ins — order pastries and grab any table. Back section for cafe reservations. Even with a reservation, we waited 10+ minutes at the entrance before being seated. Strangely, cafe customers can’t order bakery pastries?? Not sure why they’d turn down extra sales. We still grabbed a danish and cookie after the meal — both mediocre, pastry layers weren’t great. But I heard their bomboloni is excellent — might go back just for that, since my beloved BomboBar closed. 📍 Bar Tutto 1110 W Carroll Ave, Chicago, IL 60607 #SummerFoodieCat 🐱 #ChicagoLife #ExploreChicago #ChicagoEats #CafeVibes
