Chicago|Michelin-Star Chef’s New Indian Gem — Nadu 🌶️
Indienne is Chicago’s only Michelin-starred Indian restaurant, but chef Sujan Sarkar decided to go for a more accessible, everyday vibe with Nadu. And the result is amazing. 🦀 Spicy Crab (Kerala Crab Curry) – A signature South Indian black pepper curry with a whole fresh Dungeness crab. Rich, spicy, and deeply flavorful — the crab is sweet and juicy on its own, but soaking up the curry takes it to another level. Not “American-friendly” — you crack the crab yourself — but so worth it. Pro tip: Call ahead to reserve, so they can prep the live crab for you! 🍚 Spiced Rice with Crispy Onions & Cashews – Fragrant basmati rice studded with crispy fried onions and buttery cashews. So much better than the dry rice at typical Indian spots. 🥞 Masala Dosa – A South Indian fermented crepe stuffed with spiced potatoes — crispy outside, soft inside. Served with coconut and tomato chutneys that are so good you’ll want to eat them with everything. 🫓 Garlic Naan – Incredibly fluffy, garlicky, and no cilantro (bless 🙏). Made with care — you can tell. 🍗 Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) – Classic slow-cooked curry, rich but not heavy, with tender chicken. Comes with extra naan for dipping — don’t waste a drop! 🏮 Vibe – Took over the old OONA space, keeping the gorgeous crystal chandeliers and high ceilings while adding warm Indian touches. Love that each dish on the menu notes its region in India — a delicious geography lesson! 🚀 Verdict – Nadu just became my #1 Indian spot in Chicago — bringing Michelin precision to affordable, soulful food. A must-visit! 📍 Nadu 2518 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 #NaduChicago #IndianFood #MichelinChef #ChicagoEats #SpicyCrab #DosaLove #GarlicNaan
