Chicago|My Favorite French Patisserie in the City 🍰💖

Pierrot Gourmet has won my heart with both its charm and its treats — it’s part of the adjacent Peninsula Hotel. I often come here to study before big exams — pretty and delicious desserts really do soothe the soul 😌 Regular Menu Favorites: 🌹 Rose Macaron "Burger" – Large, beautiful, and flavorful. Best shared — it’s rich! ☕ Coffee Bean Dessert – Slightly bitter coffee notes balanced with creamy mousse. Perfect size for one. Also on the regular menu: Chocolate Obsession & Blueberry Cheesecake (haven’t tried these — seem more standard). Seasonal Specials are always tempting — I personally find the spring/summer editions more playful than fall/winter. 🌰 Recently tried the Cranberry Pistachio Mousse — pink cranberry layer + green pistachio layer, with pistachio mousse inside. Sweet, tangy, nutty, and not heavy at all — no guilt here! 🥗 New This Season: Burrata Salad You can choose cheese: Mozzarella, Burrata, or Fior di Latte. Sides: Heirloom tomatoes or olives. As a Burrata loyalist, I went for tomato + Burrata — classic and satisfying! The Burrata was excellent: soft outer pouch, creamy, milky center, paired with sweet tomatoes. Fresh and fulfilling.
