Finally tried the famous old-money French restaurant that requires formal attire — they even provide jackets if you don’t have one! 😂 Dim lighting, romantic and elegant atmosphere, perfect for a special date night. 💕 🍲 Appetizer: The cauliflower soup was delicious! We dipped incredibly chewy baguette into the remaining broth — so good! 😋👌 🧈 Charcuterie Duo ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pâté with a meaty, slightly chewy texture + chicken liver & foie gras flan with a rich, creamy mousse consistency. Spread on bread with pickles — surprisingly not heavy! 🍯 Seared Foie Gras ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ Caramelized crispy shell, silky-smooth inside like soft tofu. Paired with sweet-tart fruit jam — pure indulgence! 💛 🍄 Wild Mushroom Soup ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A French classic. Light on cream, intensely flavorful and refreshing. 🦞 Warm Lobster Salad ⭐⭐✨ Generous portion of tender, sweet lobster with tangy mango sauce — fresh but not a standout. Since I don’t like fish, we ordered all four meat mains! 😄 🦆 Pekin Duck ⭐⭐⭐✨ Unexpected to find Peking duck in a French restaurant! Crispy skin, tender and juicy meat — not greasy at all. 🐑 Veal Medallions & Rack of Lamb ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Both cooked to a perfect tender pink. The veal was buttery soft, while the lamb was richer with a chewy, fatty center — absolutely sublime! 🔥 🥘 Braised Wagyu Short Rib ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ Fall-apart tender, rich and succulent with a melt-in-your-mouth beefy flavor. Seasoned almost like Chinese braised beef — a comforting delight! 😍 🥩 Beef Tenderloin ⭐⭐⭐✨ As tender as the veal, but simpler — straightforward meat satisfaction. 🍫 Mocha Soufflé ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A classic French dessert. Hot chocolate sauce poured into a freshly baked soufflé — light, moist, and rich with cocoa notes, balanced by a hint of coffee bitterness. 🍮 Vanilla Crème Brûlée ⭐⭐✨ Good but not exceptional — a bit too sweet compared to the soufflé.
