Chicago’s annual Restaurant Week is here, and after browsing through countless menus, this $45 Japanese set instantly stood out — already a win compared to other $60+ options! I’ve been to this spot several times before and usually needed to order half the menu to feel full, so I didn’t expect much this time — I even had a bowl of beef noodle soup beforehand! But the courses turned out to be surprisingly carb-heavy and satisfying 😋. 🍠 Appetizer: Sweet potato fries — crispy and subtly sweet. 🍝 Second course: Mentai spaghetti & scallop nigiri — highly recommended! (Though the table next to us seemed to get a larger portion…😅) 🍛 Main: Chicken katsu rice bowl — solid and comforting. But the real star was dessert 🍨!
