Chicago|Riccardo Trattoria 🇮🇹
The truffle veal strip loin was removed from the menu, but the server asked the chef and they made it for us—so lucky! It was delicious in a comforting, not mind-blowing way. Not heavy or greasy. Could’ve used more mushrooms and truffle (maybe because it was off-menu), but still tasty. The veal was thin and tender, and the potato wedges were crispy (though a bit oily).😊🙌 Their house olive oil is fragrant—perfect with bread.👌😍 The eggplant & zucchini bake was also nice—baked cheese on top was flavorful, and the dish felt light. Cheesecake with raisins reminded me of those soft raisin buns from childhood—melt-in-your-mouth with raisins cutting the richness. Seafood risotto was just okay—not as good as Topo Gigio’s. 💵 ~$64 per person (incl. tip) — solid value for the experience! #ChicagoEats #ItalianFood #RiccardoTrattoria #ComfortFood #FoodReview #ChicagoItalian
