Another food adventure near the airport — late-night mode activated! 😋 Had to pick up family from O'Hare around 10 PM, and not many spots were still open. Saw Chicago Sushi with its simple name and decided to give it a try. Humble name, surprisingly good food! 👍 📍 Chicago Sushi 574 E Oakton St, Des Plaines, IL 60018 💰 Per person: $30–50 🍱 Matsu Chirashi 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫 A pretty and tasty bowl! More sashimi than expected, and under $30 for a seafood bowl with uni? Great value! Uni was decently sweet, tuna & salmon were fresh, eel was subtle. 🍣 Yellowtail Lover 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Never seen yellowtail cut this thick on a roll! Authentically Japanese — you taste the fish, not just heavy sauces like in many American rolls. 🍗 Chicken Karaage 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Crispy outside, juicy inside with thin batter and big chicken pieces — generous portion for an appetizer! 🍜 Tonkotsu Ramen 🌟🌟 The only letdown… thick chashu was good, noodles flavorful, but the broth was way too salty 😬 Maybe just an off day? ✨ Overall: Great quality for the price — would come back again!
