Chicago's Hidden Gem for a Beautiful Meal | Maxwells Trading 🌟

Maxwells Trading has been super popular lately, and I got the tip from both friends and @inChicago. I managed to snag the last weekend reservation a week in advance. This place is known for its fusion cuisine. Although my friend highly recommended the pasta, I went for the Asian dishes. We visited during Restaurant Week, so we chose the special menu and added a few Γ  la carte items. πŸ₯’ Appetizers didn't seem to have many exciting options. I went for the Beet & Pear salad, but it was pretty average and not really my cup of tea. πŸ₯’ Clay Pot Mushroom Rice πŸ› This was a total hit! The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, and I was absolutely delighted! The portion was hugeβ€”my dining partner and I were stuffed! πŸ„ Heritage Pork Katsu πŸ– The pork was sliced thick but incredibly tender and delicious. We were already too full, so we took most of it home for later. πŸ” For dessert, I had the Basque Butter Cake. The crust was super crispy, and the inside was soft and moistβ€”definitely a winner! 🍰 Including two drinks and a tip, the per-person cost was around $80+. Considering we barely touched the appetizer and took one dish home, I'd say it was a great value for a beautiful meal! πŸ’° Overall, I'd definitely come back here a few more times. I heard the menu changes periodically, so I'm excited for my next visit! πŸŽ‰ PS: Since it's so popular, they have a strict seating schedule. If you're late, you might feel rushed. We were a bit late, but luckily, the bar area was available, and we could take our time there. 🍻 #food #BeautifulMeals #AmbianceRestaurants #DiningOut #HiddenGems #ChicagoLife #ChicagoFood #ChicagoDining #RepeatVisits #Chicago
