Chicago's Hidden Gem That Everyone Should Add to Their List‼️
Had a girls' night dinner with my friends at Oliver’s! The food was amazing, and I'll definitely be back for seconds! Although there aren't many reviews on Yelp, the 4.6-star rating is worth a try! For those who love taking beautiful photos, bring a camera with a strong flash ✨, as the restaurant is quite dimly lit. It's perfect for dates, but the lighting for photos is average, and there's a lot of movement in the background. 💗🥰 Recommendations: Starters: ✔️ Fluke Tartare A pretty refreshing appetizer, though I found it a bit salty. It pairs well with bread. ✔️ Oysters The oysters here are fantastic! They're super fresh and uniquely seasoned with strawberry vinegar. The addition of smoked trout roe on top is brilliant! Mains: ✔️ Miller's Half Chicken Absolutely delicious!!! The crispy skin and super juicy chicken are amazing. The sauce is a perfect complement, adding a touch of saltiness that makes it even better. ✔️ New York Striploin Ordered medium rare, and it was just right! The outside is perfectly crispy, while the inside is incredibly tender. ✔️ Diver Scallops The addition of pumpkin seeds 🎃 enhances the texture, and I loved the lemony flavor! Dessert: ✔️ Creme Caramel Pie I loved it because it didn't have an almond flavor. Not Recommended: ✖️ Fried Artichoke Way too greasy for my taste. I was expecting something lighter. ✖️ Coconut Key Lime Pie ✖️ Dark Chocolate Budino I couldn't finish either of these. The almond flavor was overpowering. If you don't like almonds, avoid these! The service was great. When we mentioned the tartare was a bit salty, they brought us some sourdough bread (which was super crispy and soft!!). With our large group, the final cost per person, including a tip, was around $120. #Chicago #ChicagoRestaurants #ChicagoFoodGuide #ChicagoFoodRecommendations #ChicagoTravel #Photography #Foodie #ChicagoEats #ChicagoExperiences
