Chicago's Hottest Chirashi Bowl on Instagram – Ryota 🍣πŸ”₯

Ryota, a new Japanese spot in West Loop, has been all over my IG feed. Bookmarked it for over a month and finally went! Their chirashi bowl features fatty tuna (o-toro) β€” rich and fresh. The uni was good but not mind-blowing. The rice was seasoned well, and overall flavors were solid. Only downside: it's pricey β€” now market price (was $95 the day we went) and the portion isn’t huge.πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜Š But the real star was the dipping noodles (tsukemen)! πŸ”₯ Even though I’m not a big ramen person, my friend and I fought over this. Thick, chewy noodles coated in rich sauce, a soft-boiled egg, and chicken karaage (batter-heavy but tasty). I’d go back just for the tsukemen!πŸ‘πŸ™Œ Appetizer: Kanpachi – Fresh, lightly dressed with vinegar, olive oil, and salt. Tasty but also on the pricier side (5 pieces for $18). Feels like a Japanese restaurant tailored to a non-Japanese crowd, but the ingredients are fresh and seasoning is on point. The tsukemen is a must-order! They’re still waiting for their liquor license (coming in August), so you can BYOB for now β€” definitely worth a visit. #ChicagoEats #ChicagoLife #JapaneseFoodChicago #ChicagoRamen #ChirashiBowl
