Chicago's Only Michelin "Green" Star Restaurant

It has to be Daisies! ๐ŸŒŸ This restaurant is quite famous among locals, and after trying it out, I have to say it's genuinely delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹. I went for brunch and had a reservation, but it wasn't very crowdedโ€”I think walk-ins would have been fine too. Here are a few dishes I loved: ๐Ÿ’–**Pastries** Even though it's a restaurant, many people come to Daisies for the baked goods rather than a full meal, and some of the sweets sell out before noon. ๐Ÿ’–**Pesto Ramps Danish** This pastry has a gentle herbal aroma. It looks and tastes like a flaky, soft croissant. Highly recommended! [Thumbs up] ๐Ÿ’–**Spring Onion Tart** The caramelized onions are amazing! But after a few bites, it starts to feel a bit too salty. I thought it was a tad over-seasoned. ๐Ÿ’–**Brunch Menu** Now, onto the main dishesโ€”first of all, the portions here are quite small. Unless you have a very small appetite, one main course probably won't be enough to fill you up. ๐Ÿ’–**Salmon Gravalax** The salmon is delicious! The potato cakes are great too! If you love raw fish, this is a must-try! [Heart eyes] ๐Ÿ’–**Papardelle** These wide, belt-like noodles almost made me feel like I was in Xi'an, except for the tomato sauce. The pasta is chewy and bouncy, and the mushrooms are tasty. Another recommendation! [Smiling] ๐Ÿ’–**Scrambled Eggs Bruschetta** This dish is perfect for those who love soft and runny eggs. I found it a bit too soft and lacking in texture for my taste. We also ordered potato chips with caviar and onion dip (super yummy) and the restaurant's homemade cola (Field Cola). Overall, I think Daisies does a great job of offering eco-friendly fine dining. It's definitely worth a visit. But because of the high prices, small portions, and lack of standout dishes, I probably won't be a regular. (Though I heard they change their menu every quarter...) #ChicagoDining #ChicagoFood #DiningOut #WesternCuisine #Daisies #ChicagoMichelin #MichelinRestaurant
