Chicago's Perfect Free & Peaceful Kid-Friendly Spot! 🌳🦚

Spring is here , and it's time for outdoor fun with kids ! 🌸 I haven't shared a great kid-friendly spot in a while, but Phillips Park Zoo is a must-recommend ! Personally, I love it—free parking and free zoo admission ! 🎉 This is a hidden gem —a charming park + zoo with a serene atmosphere and two awesome playgrounds ! 🔹 Playground 1 is right next to the parking lot, surrounded by lakeside trails and a spacious, modern play area with unique features. While kids play, adults can stroll along the scenic paths or relax on the observation decks (perfect for fishing too! 🎣). Plenty of picnic tables make it ideal for big gatherings or outdoor lunches ! 🧺 🔹 Playground 2 sits on a small hill near historic cannons ! Kids can enjoy slides, swings, sand pits , and even a volleyball court ! ⚾ Nearby, there’s also a golf course (not sure about fees though ⛳). 🦚 The zoo may be small, but it’s packed with cool animals —peacocks, alpacas, pythons, yaks, eagles, and even vultures! 🐍🦙 Overall, this place is my favorite—clean, peaceful, and perfect for a full day out! 🌷 Once spring fully blooms, the trees and flowers will make it even prettier.
