Chicago | Apolonia š½ļø
I visited Apolonia recently, and overall, itās pretty decent for Chicago standards! š« Truffle Flatbread ā Really tasty! The bread is crispy without being oily, and the truffle flavor comes through nicely. š Fish Dish ā Cooked perfectly tender with well-balanced seasoning. I just wasnāt a huge fan of the tangy sauce underneathākinda didnāt get it. š Tomato & Pork Pasta ā The pasta itself had a great chewy, slightly sticky texture that I loved. But unfortunately, the pork had that strong āAmerican porkā taste⦠even with all the tomatoes, that gaminess still came through. Mightāve just been my luck though. šØ Pistachio Dessert ā Pistachio ice cream + candied pistachios + pistachio paste + pistachio cake. As a pistachio lover, I was in heaven! Just a heads upāthe pistachio paste had a slight almond-like note, so avoid it if thatās not your thing. Overall, Apolonia is worth a try, but not somewhere Iām dying to go back to again and again. #StudyInUSA #ChicagoEats #HiddenGem #DessertLovers #ChicagoFoodie #LifeInChicago
