Chicago | Arlington Heights Snowy Night Strategy
On a freezing -20°C snow-filled night ❄️, I was craving “Sorry Mommy”, but they weren’t accepting dine-in — takeout only. So I called and begged them to start my order early (even though I barely understood the dish names over the phone 😂), then drove over to pick it up. 🍃 Ambience: The building’s white walls blended right into the snowy night — almost couldn’t tell it was a restaurant! 🧸 Mushuro ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Savory and spicy, with a fermented bean paste vibe. Absolutely loved the scrambled eggs in it 🥹🥹🥹 🧸 La Zi Ji ⭐⭐⭐ Chicken was fried but not crispy enough — tender but lacking crunch. Not very spicy. Just okay. 🧸 Chicken Kebab ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hint of “Orleans-style” seasoning, with deliciously charred skin and tender meat — super fragrant. 🧸 Beef Kebab ⭐⭐ Overcooked — beef was dry and tough, not tender at all. 🐙 Verdict: Worth trying! Didn’t get to try the big plate chicken or hand-pulled rice this time — next visit for sure. #LocalFoodLove #Chicago #ChicagoEats #ExploreChicago #ArlingtonHeights #USFoodFinds
