Chicago | Finally Tried Thai-Style Raw Shrimp Ceviche! 🦐🔥
Last night, we craved Thai food and decided to try a new spot. Turns out it just opened in mid-February—apparently a branch from New York! We ordered mostly based on staff recommendations: 🥢 Thai-style raw marinated shrimp – Definitely worth a try! The sauce isn’t as intensely Thai as in Thailand, but hey, it’s Chicago—still pretty good! 😄 🥗 Pomelo salad – A bit salty, but we discovered a new way to eat it: with rice! So fresh and balanced. 🍲 Seafood Tom Yum soup – Leaned a bit sweet rather than sour-spicy, but the seafood inside was super fresh. 🍗 Fried chicken wings – SO GOOD! Tasted like extra-crispy version of finger-lickin’ chicken—a must-order! 🍚 Pad Kra Pao (minced pork basil rice) – Also on the sweeter side, but super satisfying with rice. 🥘 Green curry chicken – Fragrant, rich, and perfect over rice! We really wanted to try the mango sticky rice, but since it was a friend’s birthday and we brought cake, we skipped it. Looked amazing on other tables though! The ambiance was great 👍, the menu was extensive, and prices were even lower than JJ Thai! This is definitely going to be my go-to Thai spot from now on. 📍 Siam Thai Eatery Chicago #ChicagoFood #InternationalStudentEats #ChicagoEats #GlobalFoodies #Chicago #ThaiFood
