Chicago | Gorgeous Middle Eastern Food at Galit 🌿
Restaurant Week is perfect for trying cuisines I don’t usually eat — like Middle Eastern 😅. I’ve never been big on beans and purées, but Middle Eastern food is healthy! Getting older means paying more attention to diet… gotta eat those beans ☺️. Back to the experience — this Lincoln Park spot is super popular! Even on a weekday night, it was packed 👀. 🍆 Starters: Eggplant, hummus, yogurt with fluffy naan — carb satisfaction achieved 😌. 🥕 Carrot dish — not recommended. The sweet-sour combo didn’t quite work, and I usually love carrots. 🍖 Braised Beef with Rice — Absolutely incredible! Tender beef, perfectly balanced rice and veggies — couldn’t stop eating. 🐟 Fish Dish — Cooked perfectly, juicy and fresh. The purée underneath was delicious, and the plating was beautiful — appetite +1! 🥩 Smoked Beef — Wow, one bite took me back home! Tasted just like the smoked beef from my hometown — never expected that at a Middle Eastern restaurant 😭. 🍰 Desserts were also great — pretty and tasty 🤤. 📍 2429 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 #ChicagoLife #StudyAbroadEats #ExploreChicago #MiddleEasternFood #HealthyEats #DateNight
