Today in Wicker Park, I originally planned to visit a pottery studio, but I stumbled upon the most lovely handmade art market—Renegade Craft! I highly recommend it, folks. It brings together so many talented local Chicago artists, from ceramics and illustrations to jewelry and gourmet treats. Almost every booth made me want to stop and take pictures. Best part? It’s free to enter—just walk right in! 🆒 The vibe was so warm and welcoming. My partner and I lost track of how many times we heard people say, “This is so cute!” 😍 There were also many women-led booths with incredible taste—I honestly didn’t want to leave. We spent over three hours exploring and found so many little gifts for friends 🎁. While many of the handmade items were beautiful, the prices weren’t exactly cheap 😭. But as someone who also creates, I truly appreciate the love and care artists pour into their work—it’s like watching someone raise their baby. That emotional connection makes it easier to open your wallet (even when your brain says “be rational!”). The market is pretty long, and there are plenty of cute cafés along the way.
