Chicago | Japanese BBQ | Chicago Kalbi BBQ
🌟Great news! Chicago Kalbi BBQ has reopened after its winter closure this year! Chicago has plenty of BBQ restaurants, but for me, the one and only white moonlight has to be Kalbi. Over the years, I’ve brought countless friends here, and I truly believe it’s the most authentic and soulful Japanese BBQ place in Chicago (to be honest, there aren’t many truly authentic Japanese BBQ places in Chicago, TAT). 🌟The restaurant is located on the west side of Lincoln Square, about 10 miles from downtown, which is a 30-minute drive if there’s no traffic. The owners are a very lovely elderly Japanese couple. Kalbi has been open in Chicago for a full 34 years. Friends who have visited might know that the restaurant closes for three months every winter. This year, due to the health of the grandmother, the reopening was delayed by a month. I hope she gets better soon! 🌟This place is truly unique. From the menu design to the dishes and the BBQ sauce, everything is very authentic Japanese cuisine. However, their BBQ comes with Korean side dishes (the kimchi is incredibly delicious), and their miso soup has a style similar to Korean doenjang soup. #ChicagoExploration #ChicagoFun #BabyFood
