Always New Discoveries 🥂✨ 🥐 Pastry (Ranked by Personal Preference) 🥭 MANGO & CREAM CROISSANT – So good! Though it looks heavy on cream, it’s surprisingly light and refreshing. Loved it! 💛 🦢 FOIE GRAS CANELEE – Perfectly executed canelé—crispy outside, tender inside. 👌 🍃 GUAVA & CHEESE DANISH – Honestly don’t remember much… was too full from the Pumpkin Seed Croissant 😅 🎃 MOLE TWICE BAKED CROISSANT (Pumpkin Seed Croissant) – Huge and crispy at first bite, but gets overly rich and greasy. Flavors of pumpkin seed paste, chocolate, and a hint of cinnamon are unique though! 🍴 Brunch 🐌 ESCARGOTS À LA BOURGUIGNONNE – A reliable choice! Classic and well-prepared. 🍫 FOIE GRAS AND PANCAKE – Rich and tasty at first, but becomes too heavy. 🍜 FOIE-MEN (Foie Gras Ramen) – The layer of oil says it all… 😓 Foie gras feels out of place here. The ramen broth was overly salty, and the soft-boiled egg was way too salty too. ❌ Their brunch overall felt too heavy for me—nothing stood out. 🍽️ Dinner 🍝 Fruits de Mer Capellini – Valentine’s Day special! Opened with a lovely fennel pollen aroma, paired with seafood in a rich uni white wine cream sauce—sweet, savory, and delicious. ❤️ 🥩 BEEF WELLINGTON – Tender fillet wrapped in crispy pastry, infused with mushroom duxelles and ham. Huge portion, solid but not exceptional. 🐷 TÊTE DE COCHON (Crispy Pork Head) – Not as good as the first time! The pork itself was fine, but the changed sides really brought down the dish. 😔 #Chicago #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #ObélixChicago #FoodReview #PastryLover
