Chicago | Omakase Yume ๐Ÿฃ

On the weekend, my boyfriend and I scored a reservation at the so-called one-Michelin-starred ๐ŸŒŸ Yume. At $225 per person, our total came to $614 (including tax and a 20% service charge). The place is super tinyโ€”when you walk in, there are only six seats, but they're spaced out nicely, and the chef won't constantly chat you up! They announce each dish as it's servedโ€”perfect for someone like me who wants to enjoy a quiet meal. The servers are also very attentive. ๐Ÿ˜Š There were 16 courses in total, mostly fish and sushi. If you love seafood, don't miss this place! I've put the menu at the end. Menu Recommendations โœ…: - Hirame (Flounder): The red stuff on top is actually kimchi puree! I thought it was hot sauce, but it adds a really refreshing twist. Surprisingly delicious! - Uni (Sea Urchin) Hand Roll: Juicy and bursting with flavor, sweet and fresh! So good I forgot to take a photo. - Hotategai (Scallop): The scallop is perfectly grilled, with a blend of aromatic, soft, and tender flavors. - Misoyaki: A grilled fish dish served with rice, cooked to perfection with a slightly crispy, aromatic fish flavor that pairs well with the rice. The only downside was that the dessert pastry was a bit hard, but everything else was great! Restaurant Name: Omakase Yume Parking: There's a public parking lot across the street, but it costs $10-15. ๐Ÿš— #NorthAmerica #Omakase #JapaneseCuisine #Chicago #MichelinStar
