Chicago | Recent Delicious Meals Recap 🍽️
📍 Spacca Napoli Pizzeria Absolutely delicious freshly baked Neapolitan pizza! Be sure to call ahead for a reservation—we went on a weekend and it was still pretty crowded (they don't accept online bookings). The crust is soft yet chewy, and the pesto pistachio pizza is a unique and delightful flavor I hadn't tried before. The salsiccia (red sauce Italian sausage) pizza, with an extra addition of salami, was good but not as memorable. 🍕 📍 Asador Bastian We spent 3.5 hours here, and at least half an hour was spent with the waiter introducing the seafood and steak (a restaurant with a full atmosphere and ceremony). The Arroz Cremoso (spider crab creamy rice) is highly recommended—it has a very fresh crab flavor. For the steak, we ordered the dry-aged Holstein (the pickled peppers on the side were a nice touch and helped cut through the richness). The raspberry cake is best enjoyed after smashing it open 😄; the cream isn't overly sweet and worth a try. 🍰 📍 Armitage Alehouse This place is super hard to book, but we managed to snag a brunch reservation and it was surprisingly good 👍. I was a bit worried about the English breakfast, but every dish was actually quite good. We tried two types of toddies, which were both enjoyable. The waffle was above average—light and fluffy without the stale texture. The blood sausage, apple & pork cheek pie had no weird flavors and was a unique dish worth trying, except for being quite filling in the morning. 🥧 📍 RPM Steak A classic favorite, and the dry-aged NY steak was as good as ever on my second visit. The popular thick-cut bacon appetizer had a sweet and spicy flavor; I thought it was just okay and a bit tough, but worth a try. The miso black cod was amazing—tender with no fishy taste and a slightly crispy exterior. For dessert, we skipped the flaming Alaska cake and tried the 14k gold leaf chocolate cake, which was delicious and rich without being overly sweet. 🍖 #Chicago #ChicagoLife #ChicagoFood #ChicagoDining
