Chicago | Siam Thai Viral Thai Restaurant Review 🌟

Yesterday, I visited a pretty popular Thai restaurant in Chicago's South Loop—Siam Thai! However, finding street parking was a real challenge. We drove around for almost half an hour before securing a spot. 🚘🚫 **Strongly recommend making a reservation and finding a parking spot in advance!** Otherwise, like me yesterday, you might end up waiting for two hours as a walk-in. It was really tough, and I was starving. 😢 ✨ **Raw Scallops** Absolutely amazing! The scallops were perfectly chilled, tender, and sweet, with a touch of chili and olive oil. The slight tang and spiciness made for a great appetizer that really whetted the appetite. 🦪 ✨ **Raw Oysters** These were just okay... The oysters were small and had a bit of a fishy taste. I wouldn't recommend them, especially if you’re particular about oyster quality. You might want to skip this one. 🦪 ✨ **Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Shrimp Soup)** The soup was packed with flavor! The lemongrass, galangal, and chili were very aromatic. It was tangy, spicy, and really woke up the taste buds. Great for those who love bold flavors or want something to go with rice. 🥣 ✨ **Thai Roast Chicken with Sticky Rice** The roast chicken had crispy skin and tender meat with a hint of smokiness. It was very flavorful. The sticky rice was a bit hard, but overall, it was still pretty good. 🍗 ✨ **Pineapple Fried Rice** The presentation was fantastic—served in a pineapple half! The rice was perfectly cooked, with distinct grains. We chose rib eye for the meat, but honestly, it didn't stand out much. Still, the rice was super fragrant and delicious. 🍍 ✨ **Mango Sticky Rice** The mango was on the sour side, but it paired well with the soft and glutinous rice. It's a good choice for those who prefer a refreshing taste. I had high expectations for this dish, but it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be. 🥭 ✨ **Overall Experience:** The ambiance was very cozy, with warm lighting, and the servers were very friendly. However, the dishes took a while to come out. The average cost per person was around $30-40. The overall value was decent, but there were a few minor disappointments (like the oysters and dessert). But the main dishes were generally good! 😊 📍 Siam Thai Eatery Chicago #ThaiFood
