Chicago | Still on the hunt for great ramen β Oiistar π
My bestie and I finally checked out Oiistar, which came highly recommended by friends! Saturday was super busy β we waited about 30 minutes for a table, so we passed the time browsing at Walgreens next door ππ π Umami Ramen Their special miso broth had a really rich meaty aroma β smelled amazing! But honestly, it was a bit too salty for me π§π Generous portions though β lots of noodles and meat, definitely filling! π Oiimen (my friendβs order) The broth wasnβt salty at all! She felt the noodles were a bit bland, but to me, it was just right πβ¨ I could really taste the original pork bone fragrance in the soup β simple and satisfying ππ² πΆοΈ About the "spicy level" listed on the menu β honestly, we didnβt feel any spiciness at all! I joked with my friend: βMaybe the spicy level actually means saltiness level?β π π° Portions & Price Way bigger than Monster Ramen, and SO much more affordable β like, really really cheaper π€ We even went for dessert somewhere else afterward and spent $60β¦ but this ramen meal + tip was under $50 total! πβ‘οΈπ¨ πΈ Vibes & Photos My seat was right under a red glowing heater β the red light on my face made it perfect for photos! π΄π·β¨ #ChicagoRamen #Oiistar #RamenSearch #ChicagoEats #BudgetEats #RamenLovers
