Chicago | Visiting Oak Brook's Italian Spot 🇮🇹
A carb-heavy meal but oh-so-satisfying with every bite. Here are some highlights worth remembering! 🍕 Charred Pepperoni Pizza The pizza here is highly rated—you can choose from red, yellow, or white sauce bases. I loved this red sauce pepperoni pizza: rich flavor, chewy yet soft crust, very comforting in every bite! 🧀 Four Cheese Arancini Suppli Crispy fried rice balls stuffed with a blend of four cheeses and Calabrian sausage, served with slightly tangy red sauce. Thought it might be heavy at first, but the cheeses shone through with distinct flavors. Highly recommend! 🥟 Truffle Fondue Cappellacci Black truffle ravioli topped with pistachios, basil, and balsamic glaze. A bit too rich from the cream and cheese—felt heavy after a while. 🍖 Mama Luca’s Meatball Classic meatball, but served over polenta (Italian cornmeal porridge)—so unique! At first I thought it was mashed potatoes, but it was smoother and silkier. The meatball itself was well-seasoned and firm. Delicious and educational! 🍖 Braised Short Ribs Pure meat satisfaction! Tender, braised just right—exactly what you'd expect from good short ribs. Safe and tasty choice. 🥗 Piccolo Chopped Salad Uploading this for laughs—first time seeing a salad served with three raw cabbage wedges just plopped on the plate 😂 🍰 Mama Luca’s Tiramisu Not the classic Italian style—creamier and sweeter than expected. Just okay. Trying new restaurants always brings joy! 😄 #ItalianFood #Brunch #WesternCuisine #RestaurantRecommendations #Chicago #ChicagoEats
