Chicago Brunch Classic — Aba 🏛️

Aba (and its sister spot, Ema) have long been top-tier Chicago brunch destinations — and for good reason. Think fresh Mediterranean flavors served in a stunning sunlit atrium that’s practically made for Instagram. Recently took my parents to experience the hype. 🫘 Spring Pea + Asparagus Hummus – They have so many hummus options (garlic, avocado, short rib…), but we went seasonal. Loaded with snap peas, carrots, fava beans, radish, and pickled peppers — added great texture to the creamy chickpea base. 🧀 Stracciatella with Tomato & Pesto – A “cheese balloon” of burrata, sweet tomatoes, and herby pesto — impossible to stop eating. 🥗 Greek Salad – Classic combo of tomato, onion, cucumber, and olives (feta served on the side since my parents aren’t fans). 🍢 Lamb & Beef Kefta Skewer with Rice – My dad (a lamb lover) was impressed — one large, juicy skewer was more than enough for a meal. 🍳 Short Rib Shakshuka with Sweet Potato – This is not just “eggs in tomato sauce” — the depth comes from harissa spice. Tender braised beef and soft sweet potato chunks made it feel almost like a savory porridge. 🫐 Açaí Bowl – Frozen açaí purée topped with berries, banana, nuts, and honey — packed with antioxidants! But my parents weren’t into cold breakfasts, so not their thing. Even as a “trendy” spot, Aba delivers on flavor and freshness. A reliable favorite that lives up to the hype — like the cool aunt who always knows what’s good. 📍 Aba 302 N Green St 3rd Floor, Chicago, IL 60607 #AbaChicago #MediterraneanBrunch #ChicagoBrunch #HealthyEats #HummusLovers #Shakshuka
