Chicago Brunch Recommendation — Alpana 🍳
I’ve written about Alpana’s dinner during Restaurant Week before — but lately, I’ve been hooked on their brunch. 🍹 Rotalisa Fizz + Vote for Summer (Non-Alc) – The Rotalisa was citrusy and bright; Vote for Summer tasted more like sweet syrup — stick with the fizz. 🍔 House Burger – Torn between chicken sandwich and burger, the server insisted: “The chef’s best dish is this burger.” She was right — juicy, well-seasoned with special sauce, not too salty. Fries (lightly celery-salted) were crispy, but you can swap for salad. 🦀 Crab Cake Benedict – Maryland crab cake on an English muffin with poached eggs and savory fried potatoes — protein and carbs done right. Compared to Au Cheval or Loyalist, the burger falls a bit short — but still better than most brunch burgers around. Best part? Walk-ins are usually easy — no long waits or reservations needed. Great for a weekend shopping break in the city. 📍 Alpana 831 N State St, Chicago, IL 60610 #Alpana #ChicagoBrunch #RiverNorth #BenedictLove #BurgerGame #WalkInFriendly #ChicagoEats
