Chicago Classic River View Restaurant β Gibson Italia π
This spot has been a Chicago staple for years β a true landmark view restaurant. Booked it for my parents, and seeing that iconic corn-tower riverside view, itβs easy to understand why it stays packed even on weekends! Though known as an Italian steakhouse, compared to other popular downtown steakhouses, it falls a bit short. Plus, nobody really craves steak at brunch, so we skipped it. π¦ Lobster Cocktail β Fresh, firm, and chilled β as someone from the coast, Iβm picky about seafood, and this hit the mark. π₯ Tomato Arugula Salad β With sweet, creamy burrata cheese β fresh and flavorful. π₯¦ Broccolini Salad β My mom loved it so much she started adding cashews and pistachios to all her salads at home π (and honestly, it works!). π Classic Burger & Fries β Solid and tasty, though Chicago has no shortage of amazing burger joints. Thick, well-seasoned patty. π Spaghetti & Meatballs β Huge portion, super satisfying. π Chicken Parmesan β Tender chicken topped with tangy tomato sauce and melted cheese, never dry. Served with a side of rigatoni β filling enough on its own! π Scallop Risotto β Rice cooked perfectly al dente, fragrant and rich. A bit salty for my parentsβ taste β ask for less salt if youβre sensitive. This place is great for business meals and tourists alike. Unlike some riverside spots that lose their view in winter, Gibson Italia still offers lovely scenery even from indoors. π Gibson Italia 233 N Canal St, Chicago, IL 60606 #GibsonItalia #ChicagoEats #RiverViewDining #ViewRestaurant #ChicagoFood #FamilyMeal
