Chicago Downtown Steakhouse Bomb 💣

Saw a 4.6 Google rating and thought it must be good, but left really disappointed… Maybe I just didn’t order the right things, so if you’ve had a better experience, feel free to defend it XD 《El Che Steakhouse & Bar》 📍 Location: 845 W Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60607 ▫️ 12oz Prime Center Cut Ribeye – $69 The steak was… hard to describe. The texture wasn’t great, and it came to the table already cold. If they can’t even get the temperature right, that’s pretty unacceptable. Really disappointing. ▫️ Marrow Bone – $25 🦴 Even richer and more overwhelming than the one at Au Cheval. If you’re a huge bone marrow fan, maybe give it a try, but most people will get tired of it after a few bites. ▫️ Beef Fat Fries – $11 The best part of the meal! 👍 ▫️ Grilled Zucchini 🥒 The zucchini itself was fine, but the red pepper purée underneath was way too strong. Not a fan if you dislike intense bell pepper flavor. ▫️ Summer Margarita – $16 🍸 Blackberry-flavored cocktail with a tequila base. Just okay. Main deal-breaker: the steak arrived cold, and the restaurant was stuffy, loud, and poorly ventilated. Not sure if it was the drinks, but by the end I felt dizzy.
