Stumbled upon this place while doing a quick search for graduation flowers for my friends — and what a find! 🌸 Steve's Flower Market is located in the northernmost part of West Loop. Online they mostly offer pre-made bouquets, which are a bit pricey and lean heavily into classic American floral aesthetics (very hit or miss). But going in person? A whole different experience. You can pick and arrange your own flowers, and even though I haven't been to many other flower shops, I could tell the variety here is impressive 🌿. I went around noon and most flowers were still super fresh. The staff helps trim and wrap everything for you — affordable and high-quality service. I picked a mix of roses, daisies, and a few other stems I didn’t recognize but thought looked pretty 🌼🌹. Went for that minimalist ins aesthetic. They charge per stem — orchids are pricier (around $30 for a small bundle). My final bouquet? Less than $35 — and I was honestly thrilled with the value. The whole shopping experience was so enjoyable. Ended up taking some photos on UChicago's campus and the flowers complemented the vibe perfectly. Feeling pretty proud of myself 😌.
