Chicago Food|Loyalist 🍳 Brunch from Michelin

Loyalist is the more casual sibling restaurant beneath Michelin 3-star Smyth 🍴 (We tried Smyth two years ago at two stars — left hungry and underwhelmed 😅) This time, we gave their sister spot a shot! Brunch is only available on Sundays from 10am–2pm, with French-inspired flavors in a dim, moody, vintage setting. Highlights below ‼️ 1️⃣ Toasted Almond Financier RECOMMEND ❗️ Crisp outside, soft and springy inside — a perfect classic French dessert that oddly appears in the starters. Would be amazing with coffee at the end of the meal! 2️⃣ Pimento Cheese Éclair RECOMMEND ‼️ MY FAVORITE Cheese lovers, rejoice! A savory éclair stuffed with deviled egg filling and topped with delicate cheese shreds — rich, flavorful, and totally memorable. Best shared between 2–3 people (it’s rich!). 3️⃣ A Simple Salad 🥗 Our server suggested this over another salad — honest and helpful! Fresh avocado with tangy vinaigrette, a great palate cleanser. 4️⃣ The Loyalist Original Cheeseburger 🍔 House specialty — juicy beef patty with pickles and mayo. Pro tip: dip it in their pickle brine sauce — cuts through the richness perfectly! 5️⃣ Eggs Mousseline Black truffle egg custard on buttery toasted bread — fragrant, decadent, but heavy. Best shared. Overall, a solid brunch with that Michellin-adjacent French touch. I’d go back just for the Pimento Cheese Éclair — and maybe to try their cocktails next time 🍸 (heard they’re good!). 【Loyalist】 📍 177 N Ada St, Chicago, IL 60607 #WeekendBrunch #BrunchSpot #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #ChicagoBrunch 🥐🍳✨
