Chicago Food|Multi-Culinary Experience at Proxi 🥘
A Michelin-recognized restaurant where the chef skillfully blends flavors from around the world 🌍 The vibe is chic and modern — great for group dinners or dates 🥂 They offer an $80 chef’s menu (3 courses + dessert) or à la carte. We celebrated a birthday here and tried the tasting menu with wine pairing (+$45) — the wines were unique and well-matched (except the dessert wine, still not my thing 😅). Highlights below ‼️ 1st Course (Choose 3): 🥟 Samosa Chaat — Indian curry pastry with pomegranate veggie salad, full of flavor. 🥗 Poached King Salmon Salad — light and refreshing. 🍞 Foie Gras Pot de Crème (+$5 pp) — rich foie gras with steamed Filipino bread (texture like fluffy sponge cake). Highly recommend! 2nd Course (Choose 3): 🌽 Mushroom & Goat Cheese Tamale — Central American-style corn dough with savory fillings. A nice twist. 🐚 Littleneck Clams in Jungle Curry RECOMMEND ‼️ — plump clams in aromatic curry, served with crispy baguette for dipping. So good! 🍠 Roasted Japanese Sweet Potato — sweet and comforting, but by this point we were getting full! 3rd Course (1 per person): 🍖 Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder — decent but not unforgettable. 🦐 Thai Yellow Curry — coconut seafood curry with jasmine rice — flavorful and addictive even though we were stuffed. A fun dining experience that lets you taste global flavors in one meal. Note: For the chef’s menu, three people get the same portion size as two — something to consider if you’re planning a group visit! Their à la carte menu also has plenty of tempting options. 【Proxi】 📍 565 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL #ChicagoEats #GlobalFlavors #MichelinRecommended #ChicagoFoodie #FusionCuisine
