Chicago Food|Thai-Recommended Gem — Khun Kung 🇹🇭

A beloved family-run Thai spot in Wicker Park recommended by Thai locals! Eat Fine Design by Khun Kung is small (just 5–6 tables) — reserve ahead and pre-order your dishes online. They’ll text you a reminder with your order details — very organized! Walk in and find your name card on the table. The single server was super busy, so service was slow, but the food made it worth the wait. Highlights below ‼️ 🥥 Coconut Tofu Crispy fried tofu coated in shredded coconut, served with fresh peanut sauce. 🦞 Lobster Pad Thai RECOMMEND ❗️ Authentic pad thai — we’ll definitely try other versions next time. The lobster was decent, but the noodles were the star! 🥗 Som Tum Thai Classic green papaya salad — tangy, sweet, spicy, and super appetizing (even “mild” had a kick!). 🍲 Tom Yum with Beef Warming, flavorful, and authentic — perfect for cold days. 🦆 Duck Red Curry HIGHLY RECOMMEND ‼️ Tender duck in rich, slightly sweet red curry sauce. We ordered extra roti to soak up every bit — so good! 🍗 Hat Yai Fried Chicken Southern Thai-style fried chicken with sticky rice and spicy-sweet dipping sauce — crispy outside, juicy inside. 🥭 Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango Classic dessert — creamy coconut sticky rice with mango. The mango wasn’t super sweet (off-season) but still refreshing. 🥥 Coconut Milk Ice Cream RECOMMEND ‼️ A must for coconut lovers! Smooth, rich coconut ice cream with coconut meat and chewy Thai rice balls. Pure heaven! Found a Thai spot worth returning to again and again — great for groups so you can try more dishes. PS: They also have durian curry — didn’t try it (not a durian fan), but durian lovers should give it a go! 【Eat Fine Design by Khun Kung】 📍 2060 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 #ChicagoEats #ThaiFood #HiddenGem #WickerParkEats #ChicagoFoodie #CoconutLover 🍛🥭
