Chicago Food | A Pasta Bar I Visited Twice in One Month
๐ Torchio Pasta Bar I've really grown to love the cozy, intimate vibe of small restaurants like this. From the atmosphere to the service to the food โ this pasta spot was absolutely flawless ๐. Reservations available on Tock! ๐ Recommendations: ๐ Ricotta & Fig Jam Crostinis Creamy ricotta spread on crispy toast, topped with fig jam โ light, refreshing, and full of texture. ๐ Saffron Arancini I call these Italian-style fried rice balls ๐ Imagine your usual meatball, but swapped with saffron-infused rice and cheese, then drizzled with garlicky tomato sauce. Perfectly balanced flavors! ๐ Seafood Fra Diavolo Ordered this pasta twice! The seafood was super fresh. As a Northern Chinese, it reminded me of tomato seafood "hand-pulled noodles" โ so good! I added a bunch of the chili flakes on the table and loved it even more. ๐ฝ๏ธ Housemade Lasagna The lasagna sits on a crispy parmesan cheese crust โ so fragrant! But it can get a bit rich if you eat too much, so better to share with a friend. ๐ Mafaldine w/ Beef & Veal Ragu A must for meat lovers! For the first time ever, I finished all the pasta and left meat behind ๐. Pairs perfectly with the seafood pasta. #ChicagoFood #PastaLover #TorchioPastaBar #ItalianFood #FoodieFinds #ChicagoLife
