Chicago Food | Calling This the #1 Korean Restaurant in Chicago β¨
Today Iβm sharing one of my all-time favorite Korean spots β Cho Sun Ok π€© I keep coming back to this place β itβs truly a hidden gem for Korean food in Chicago! Even though the auntie servers arenβt exactly known for their warm service (letβs call it part of the charm π), the food is so good youβll easily overlook it! Their Japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) beats every other Korean BBQ place in Chicago, and their BBQ is super authentic. The Naengmyeon (cold noodles) are perfectly tangy with no weird aftertaste β youβll be hooked after one try! Plus, all side dishes are refillable β love it π If you havenβt been, youβre missing out β go now, no regrets! Japchae $15.99 πππππ This stir-fried glass noodle dish is my absolute favorite! Chewy, savory, packed with veggies and beef β a must-order every time. Chadol Gui $28.95 πππππ Their marinated beef brisket is flavorful, grilled crispy outside and tender inside, juicy but not greasy. They grill it for you at the table, and if you still have room, theyβll even make fried rice with the leftovers π Naengmyeon $13.99 πππππ The cold noodles are a must for me! Refreshing, tangy broth with smooth, chewy noodles β perfect for cooling down in summer. Overall: πππππ The vibe is cozy and feels like a traditional Korean eatery (though not fancy). Service? Well, the auntie might be a bit tough, but the foodβs authenticity totally makes up for it! Will I Return? πππππ Absolutely! This is my go-to Korean spot in Chicago. I crave their Japchae and Naengmyeon regularly. The BBQ is fantastic too β my only wish is that they served pork belly!
