Chicago Food | MingHin โ A Cantonese Soulโs True Love ๐จ๐ณ
๐ต Yum cha time! That deep-seated Cantonese craving for dim sum is real โ and MingHin is the best Iโve had in the US! Restaurant: MingHin Cuisine Address: Multiple locations โ the one with the shortest wait is 1440 Golf Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. ๐ฒ Must-Try Dishes: ๐๐๐๐๐ Black Bean Sauce Chicken Feet โ Tender, flavorful, falls right off the bone. ๐๐๐๐๐ Pan-Fried Chive Pancake โ Crispy, fragrant, deliciously oily in the best way. ๐๐๐๐๐ Char Siu Bao โ The BBQ pork buns of my dreams! Sweet, fatty, authentic. ๐๐๐๐๐ Roast Duck โ Highly recommend โ crispy skin, generous portion, great value. ๐๐๐๐ Salted Egg Yolk Bun โ So good! Real flowing custard, with a crumbly topping like a pineapple bun. Only downside: sometimes not served hot enough. ๐๐๐๐ Har Gow (Shrimp Dumplings) โ Soft wrapper, fresh shrimp filling โ solid choice. ๐๐๐๐ Beef Short Ribs โ Tender and easy to eat off the bone. ๐๐๐ Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf โ Soft and glutinous, but not particularly standout (though itโs hard to make this dish truly wow). ๐๐๐ Teochew Dumpling โ Authentic, but contains celery (not my thing). ๐๐๐ Bean Curd Skin Roll โ Good flavor, but wrapper a bit thick, so sauce doesnโt soak through well. ๐๐๐ Water Chestnut Cake โ Served warm โ I prefer it chilled, but still tasty.โค๏ธ๐ ๐๐๐ Congee โ Rice is soft, but flavor is average, and theyโre skimpy on scallions and crispy dough sticks. No tingzai congee option, sadly. ๐๐ Rice Noodle Rolls โ Not recommended โ thick skin, sparse filling, lackluster sauce. ๐๐ Creamy Egg Roll โ Skip โ tastes like plain steamed buns, not enough milky flavor. Note: This is just my personal take โ doesnโt mean a dish is inherently bad. Could be an off day in the kitchen or just a mismatch with my taste! Try what calls to you. #Chicago #ChicagoEats #DimSum #YumCha #FoodieGuide #EatPlayExplore #WeekendVibes
