Chicago Food Adventure | Superb French Dining
After hearing rave reviews from a friend about this newly opened French spot, I couldn’t resist dragging my partner along to check it out! In my opinion, it’s even better than Le Bouchon — every dish was memorable and delicious, though the price point is also higher. We visited on a Friday night and caught Happy Hour with $1 oysters 🦪✨! Out of everything we tried, my favorites were the Beef Tartare and the Dry-Aged Duck Breast. The tartare was perfectly tangy and savory, served with buttery toasted bread — absolutely irresistible! 🥩🍞 The duck breast was a generous portion, crispy on the outside and tender inside, paired with light, refreshing sides that balanced the richness. The burger and fries were also solid — my Hermès SA even called them “the best fries I’ve ever had” 😂 I’d say they were really good, though maybe not that legendary 🍔🍟. And what’s a French meal without dessert? I was tempted by the chocolate cake, but the foie gras soufflé instantly won me over! Served with foie gras sauce poured tableside — soft, fluffy, and full of indulgent flavor. A delicious and elegant finish! 🍮💫 We spent around $80+ per person and left completely stuffed! So many more dishes I still want to try — already looking forward to my next visit. The ambiance is lovely too! #ChicagoEats #FrenchCuisine #VentuexBrasserie #HappyHour #DateNight #FoodieHeaven
