Chicago Food Chapter 2 🍽️✨

📍 Volare A famous Italian spot with lots of hype — but honestly, not that tasty in my opinion. Super busy though, packed all night! The food didn’t even compare to what we’ve had in Winnipeg… and that "THANK YOU" takeout bag just left me speechless 🙄💼 📍 Chinatown Food Court Maybe because Vancouver’s food courts set the bar too high, I went in with too much confidence — and ended up disappointed 😅 Only Vancouver food courts can be blindly trusted, apparently! 🥢 West Gate Rice Rolls – Not good… not even close to what my partner makes at home. 🌶️ Bing’s Sichuan – Okay, just average. 🍗 Hainanese Chicken Rice – Pretty bland. The rice had some flavor, but the chicken was just boneless thigh meat. 🍖 Wong’s Roast – Soy sauce chicken was dry, not tender at all. Ho Yau Sing Tong was better. Dry-fried beef noodles were just… ordinary. 📍 Hendrickx Belgian Bread Crafter – RECOMMENDED! 🌟 The shop is super low-key — tucked inside a building on a small street across from LV. Their pistachio chocolate croissants, canelés, and eclairs are delicious! 🥐🍫 I heard they have an amazing triple chocolate croissant — but only on weekends! (No pics of the croissants — the storefront is really humble-looking 😅) #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFood #FoodReview #ChinatownChicago #BelgianPastry #NotImpressed
