Chicago Food Diary with Parents π½οΈπ¨βπ©βπ§
π Au Cheval The burger that everyone raves about β we ordered a single cheeseburger, one with egg & bacon, and foie gras scrambled eggs. The single cheeseburger was just okay β pretty standard, and the bun was a bit dry π. Adding egg and bacon made it much tastier and more interesting β worth a try! The foie gras scrambled eggs were delicious β rich, fatty, and aromatic β though I got a little tired of it halfway through π₯β¨. π₯© Steak 48 My dad really wanted steak, so we ended our U.S. trip with a steak dinner here. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was excellent β our server even said my dadβs voice sounded like a movie starβs ππ¬ Food-wise, it wasnβt mind-blowing. The 16oz NY Strip (medium) was a bit dry and underseasoned. But the Ahi Tuna was a hit β tender inside with a lightly spicy, scallion-infused crust ππΆοΈ. The oysters were fresh but tiny according to my parents π¦ͺ. Dessert: Chocolate Bombe β sweet but not overly rich. Even though the food wasnβt amazing, we had a great time β maybe thanks to finishing a whole bottle of wine π·β€οΈ. π Giordanoβs Deep-dish pizza is so heavy β definitely order the smallest size! π₯΅ The Italian beef sandwich was pretty good though! β Largest Starbucks (Reserve Roastery) Tastes exactly the same as any regular Starbucks β but fun to see the space! #ChicagoEats #FoodWithFamily #BurgerLover #Steakhouse #DeepDishPizza #ChicagoFoodie
