This Valentine's Day, while booking a restaurant, I realized it had been too long since I visited my favorite steakhouse — so I chose here again. 🥩 Steak｜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down one of the top 2 steakhouses among Chicago’s renowned spots. Their Delmonico is exceptional — a beautifully marbled 45-day dry-aged prime ribeye, perfectly seared with a crisp crust and pink edge-to-edge inside. What’s amazing is that even with a heavy char, there’s no bitterness or burnt flavor. The balsamic reduction balances the richness perfectly — an absolute standout. If you’re with a group, try the steak flight: it includes a Delmonico, a wet-aged NY Strip, and a filet, letting you compare cuts and aging methods side-by-side. 🦀 Crab Cake｜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a crab cake enthusiast, I order it whenever it’s on the menu — and this one beats any I’ve tried across the U.S.! It’s packed with whole, tender chunks of crab meat, sweet and delicate — unlike most crab cakes that are dense with shredded crab and filler. 🍰 Dessert｜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Mascarpone Cheesecake is a must — incredibly light, almost like Japanese soufflé cheesecake, not too sweet, and perfectly complemented by fresh berries. ‼️ Final Thoughts: Michael Jordan's Steak House was my introduction to loving and appreciating steak. My first visit in 2012 blew me away — it’s also where I first tried and fell for medium-rare. Over the past 13 years, I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and the quality has remained consistently outstanding. They don’t chase trends — they just execute classics at the highest level. Some may dismiss it as a "tourist spot," but regulars know better — the dining room is often filled with older, loyal customers. According to the staff, repeat visitors are common.
