Chicago Food Review | Japanese-Inspired Rooftop Bar & More

🍽️ Cindy’s Went right after visiting the Art Institute — no reservation but didn’t have to wait! 🏛️➡️🍸 The restaurant is spacious, ambiance is nice. Ordered the Chef’s Selection Meat — the meat was good! 🥩 🥗 Fall Squash Salad — I love pumpkin, but there was too much vinaigrette… got too sour after a while. Main courses: 🐚 Scallop Dish — few scallops, but the sauce had beans and lobster tail 🦞 🐔 Chicken — tender, with a creamy pumpkin-ginger sauce underneath — unique flavor! ⚠️ Entrées were large but overly salty… and the drinks were disappointing 😞 I tried three different cocktails but ended up just drinking water. 🍟 Thick-cut fries — I really liked these though! 😋 🍣 Katana A popular spot that always comes up when searching for Japanese food — walked in after visiting Oak Street. Personally, wasn’t a fan — the texture and meat quality were just average. 🍢 Yakitori was especially oily… 💡 If you like uni (sea urchin) and eel, maybe order more of those. 🍱 White Lotus Roll — server said it’s the most popular, but it was just okay. Other dishes are tagged in the pics — choose at your own discretion! 🍿 Don’t forget Garrett Popcorn! Winter is finally here — the Hot Cocoa Mix flavor is back! 🎄☕ I’ve got a sweet tooth, so I buy a bag every day 😅 I even grabbed two bags for my flight — used to book layovers in Chicago just to bring some back for my mom! ❤️ #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFood #RooftopBar #JapaneseFood #ChicagoSushi #FoodReview
