Chicago Foodie|Apolonia 🇬🇷✨
Super cozy Mediterranean spot with very few people — located near Chinatown, close to Haidilao. Only downsides: A mysterious 5% employee healthcare fee added to the bill (feels like a weird hidden charge tbh) Slightly on the saltier side Other than that? No complaints. ☀️ Brunch and dinner menus are different — came for lunch, so didn’t get to try the grilled meats everyone talks about. Starters: 🐙 French-style baked squid — If you’ve had escargot, this is the same vibe. Fresh, tender, super flavorful, and nice chew. 🍞 Black Truffle Puff Bread — Other girls weren’t lying when they said this was a must. Crispy, fragrant with truffle cream — could easily eat two orders. Main: 🦀 Shellfish Tagliolini (crab pasta) — Rich crab flavor in a creamy sauce. I personally love creamy pastas, so this hit the spot. Dessert: 🍨 The Pistachio (ice cream) — Skip this. Strong pistachio flavor, but SO sweet. Had to chug a glass of water after. 💰 $40–50 per person 📍 105 E Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL 60616 #VibeDining #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #ChicagoFoodRecs #ChicagoBrunch
