Chicago Hidden Gem: High-Value French Restaurant — LE BOUCHON 🍷
I’d been craving Escargot 🐌 for a while, but most French restaurants in the Chicago area only open for dinner — not ideal when you’re dining with a little one. Luckily, I found Le Bouchon, which serves lunch too! Today, being Columbus Day, my wife and I finally made our visit. What a wonderful hidden gem! The restaurant is cozy — only about ten tables — but the decor and atmosphere are lovely. The staff were warm and attentive, and every dish impressed us. They have separate lunch and dinner menus (lunch menu shown in photo 5), and the prices are incredibly reasonable — we ordered four dishes for just $80 💸, which feels like a steal in today’s economy! Plus, they serve unlimited refills of fresh French bread 🥖. We tried the sardines, escargot, mussels, and a beef sandwich — all packed with flavor. French portions aren’t usually huge, but we left stuffed (maybe also thanks to all that delicious bread 😄). Special shout-out to their fries — absolutely amazing, highly recommend! 🍟 We’ll definitely be back to try their dinner menu. Parking can be tricky (street parking only), but it’s totally worth it. If you want an affordable, romantic, and delicious French meal in Chicago — this place won’t disappoint! ❤️ 📍 Address: 1958 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 #Chicago #ChicagoEats #FrenchRestaurant #LeBouchon #HiddenGem #AffordableFineDining
