Chicago Kaizan|Today Was Another Great Value Day 🍣
Finally tried the much-hyped Kaizan Omakase over the weekend! Went in a bit nervous after seeing some mixed reviews online, but maybe because I managed my expectations — I actually thought it was pretty fresh and tasty. Overall it leans more American-style, sauces tend to be sweet (which I personally like 😋). It’s creative rather than traditional omakase. We also ordered a Uni Cup on the side — the sea urchin was sweet and fresh, mixed with raw quail egg and fish, served with nori.👍😘 Dessert wasn’t a highlight — tried the Yuze Cheesecake but didn’t really taste the yuzu 😂 though the strawberry jam on the side was great.
