Chicago Korean BBQ Recommendation – Chicago Galbi House 🥩✨

📍 Address: 340 W Half Day Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 This place might just be Chicago’s Korean food heaven — even my Korean husband approves, and that says a lot! You can grill BBQ here or order from the regular menu — hard to go wrong with anything. First visit: we skipped the BBQ (had our kid with us). Second visit: all about the BBQ — and wow, it was amazing! They also serve raw beef (yukhoe) and soy marinated raw crab (ganjang gejang) — two absolute treasures for Korean food lovers. 😭🙌 💰 Price: ~$50–100 per person for a satisfying meal. Must-order dishes: 🔸 Yukhoe (Korean-style raw beef salad) – Not gamey at all. Mixed with Asian pear, cucumber, sesame oil, and salt — so flavorful! While not exactly like Korean hanwoo beef, it’s the best you’ll find in Chicago. 🔸 Soy Sauce Marinated Raw Crab – A bit pricey, but worth every penny. Large, meaty crabs — eat with rice and you’re in heaven. Hey owner, how about adding soy marinated shrimp next? 😉 🔸 Bulgogi Mountain – Great for kids! A balanced mix of meat, veggies, and noodles — slightly sweet and a total crowd-pleaser. 🔸 Diamond Combo (Grill platter) – Beef, chicken, and shrimp — perfect for trying a bit of everything. Next time I’d also order Galbi & Brisket separately. 🔸 Japchae (Stir-fried glass noodles) – Possibly the best japchae I’ve ever had — must order! (Ate it too fast to snap a pic 😅) 🔸 Soybean Stew with Beef Brisket – My husband’s eyes lit up after the first sip — he said it was mind-blowing! Skip: Cold Noodle (Naengmyeon) – Pretty average compared to the other standout dishes. #KoreanBBQ #KoreanFood #ChicagoEats #ExploreChicago #RestaurantRecommendation
