7.3/10 – Half the dishes were good, but “good” here meant decent, not amazing. Whether tasty or not, everything felt very Michelin-ish—nicely plated and somewhat interesting, but nothing truly wow. Some seafood-based bites were nice, but the poultry dishes were on the gamey side (though I’m someone who finds even Costco rotisserie chicken gamey 😅). The Chenin Blanc wine pairing was sweet and mellow—my kind of pour, and pretty crowd-pleasing. The salad was cute. Overall, it was more about the experience than craving another bite afterward.😁😘 The decor was underwhelming—not particularly special, luxurious, romantic, or cozy. Maybe because the menu changes often, the vibe feels unfixed. For a special occasion, it might feel a bit boring.😂👍 I won’t be returning, but this visit wasn’t a waste—the experience wasn’t too dull. Compared to Boka, Boka’s food is more normal and approachable, but that also makes Boka feel a bit safe—not a huge win over a good $60-per-person regular spot. #FineDining #Chicago #MichelinRestaurant #ChicagoEats 🍷🍽️
