Chicago Nikko Sushi Buffet

Went mainly because the ice cream looked good—and it was delicious! But the other dishes… well, let’s just say they weren’t bad, but maybe try somewhere else 😅 The eel hand roll was tasty—way better than the salmon mango hand roll. Sushi-wise, the fish itself was pretty good, but the rice portions were huge, like they were trying to fill you up so they wouldn’t lose money 🍙💸 Each person can only order one special sushi—we tried two popular ones, but the fish was spicier than expected! For skewers: the beef and chicken ones weren’t great, but the chicken with scallion was okay. The fish head was way too salty on the outside, though the inside meat was fine. Fried soft-shell crab was just average—couldn’t really taste the crab 🦀 And that little side dish (squid?) was… not good 😬 Rolls were nothing special—just okay. #ChicagoEats #SushiBuffet #MixedReview #NotBadButNotGreat 🍣
