Chicago OC's New American Cuisine - 3🌟 Recommendation

The ambiance is decent—it's a national chain with locations across the country. A friend who'd tried it elsewhere specifically wanted to visit the Chicago location. Four of us ordered five dishes, and while the menu is creative, I wouldn't say it's particularly tailored to my taste despite online claims. 🐟 Tuna Tartare Not bad—tuna on top, avocado and wasabi underneath. The wasabi seems real (milder than the usual fake stuff), and the crispy chips served with it are tasty. 🄩 Philly Flatbread Pretty good! The crust is like a mini Pizza Hut thin crust, but with richer toppings—beef that's not overly salty (a rare find in North America!). šŸ Black Lentil Bolognese Not my favorite. The yellow wine flavor is too strong, and the lentils are just... meh. The pasta itself is okay, not terrible, but nothing special. 🐟 Chilean Sea Bass Decent—looks more appetizing than anything in Zelda: Breath of the Wild šŸ˜†. The rice underneath is nice, but at $50 after tax and tip, the portion is small for the price. šŸ– Kona-Crusted Lamb Loin Better value than the sea bass! Three lamb chops served over creamy mashed potatoes (which are excellent), and the lamb itself is well-prepared. šŸ° Desserts $4 per person—not bad! The staff brings a little basket for you to pick from. We tried four different ones, and the unanimous verdict: way too sweet. āš ļø PSA: The suggested tip starts at 18%—calculated after tax—which feels a bit greedy and costs them a star in my book. Final Thoughts: The vibe is nice, and the food is fine—nothing terrible (the flatbread is actually quite good!). But it's not worth a special trip. If you're nearby? Sure. Making a detour? Nah. šŸ“ Location: 3 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook, IL 60523, United States šŸ½ļø What We Ordered: • Tuna Tartare • Philly Flatbread • Chilean Sea Bass • Kona-Crusted Lamb Loin • Black Lentil Bolognese • Assorted desserts šŸ’ø Total: $151.58 (after tax, before tip) šŸ…æļø Parking: Plenty of spots right outside—super easy! #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #NewAmericanCuisine #Season52 #ChicagoRestaurants #ChainRestaurant #DateNightSpot #FoodReview #ChicagoDining #NotWorthTheHype
